Against doctor’s orders, I checked myself out of the hospital and returned home in a week’s time. Of course, there were other issues, which affected my health. When the body has such a traumatic experience, it takes a while to heal. In my delicate case, the healing had not yet begun. I am sure if my mother is reading this she would not expect anything less. Mother always said I was hard headed, and I have to admit at this point, I truly was. My ultimate goal was to get away from this hospital, which reeked of death. My destiny was oblivion. Yes, oblivion... I wanted so desperately to disappear.
