Mothers Day is just around the corner and for many of us who have experienced loss it is a hard day to maneuver through. Before having and losing my child, mothers day was something I honestly looked forward to. Celebrating the most beautiful woman (in my opinion) my mother was definitely and is definitely a joy to be hold. Now mother’s day seems is a crippling reminder of what was and what could have been. While I celebrate the mothers who are still on earth, my heart aches for those who have loss children ..the ones who are childless, My heart aches for those who have mourned their mothers.
This weekend as Mothers Day approaches, I ask each of you to pick up your phone or text someone who has loss someone. Let them know you are thinking about them….let them know you have not forgotten them…let them know that they still matter….let them know that they are still LOVED…
This mother’s day if you are feeling alone, I ask you to reach down deep and find a way to honor your loved one. Even if you have no one to talk with, go to the dollar store get a dozen balloons and release them at a park near your. If you are not able to get to a park, just release them in your own front or back yard. Let them fly away to your loved one and I guarantee you will smile. Even if you cry, and most likely you (we will), you will smile through the tears. Release your love through those beautiful balloons. As they float away, find peace in knowing your loved one is watching safely among Gods wonderful angels.
I love you all..
Matthew 11: 28-30 NIV
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light…
