Let’s face it, we as women have numerous roles to fulfill in life (aunt, mother, wife, girlfriend, sister, lover, etc). We are all these and more. With these roles we also deal with a rigorous workplace environment that often times threatens our peace of mind. Discovering a way to deal with this challenge is why I hold tight to my faith. I believe faith can lead to happiness, and happiness leads to hope, and hope leads to an awesome peace of mind. On the days when I feel discouraged, mistreated and even question my purpose, I reach back to my faith. Those days when you walk out the office with a smile on your face, but inside your spirit weeps. Yes, those days when the accusations are plentiful and the truth masquerade in darkness and jealousy. Yes my friend, those days when the people who you thought were behind you become the same people who threaten the foundation of your employment. Yes, those days when the workplace seems unjust and I feel invisible; I reach back and lift myself up with my faith.
Oftentimes we as women may feel overlooked and discarded for the good work we have done or others may take the credit for our knowledgeable achievements. My theory is its ok. Every wrong (or perceived injustice) done to you has a return. Our God always settles the score. He will repay to you two-fold for continuing to be loyal, dignified and graceful under ungraceful circumstances in the workplace. Maybe you do not believe in God but believe in Karma and the universe. Whatever the case, use your positive belief system to encourage yourself and other women who also feel invisible in work environments.
Remember we as women are all in this together and if we can keep each other lifted in a positive way; our walk to reach our purpose and destiny will become less strenuous. Thank you for taking this journey with me.
love you more than you could even imagine...
God loves you my friend...
